Putting My Experience
Joe Corr is the immediate past President of the Irish Planning Institute and held the term from 2018 to 2019. Joe is an experienced Town Planner and holds an MSc in Spatial Planning from TU Dublin. He also runs his own planning consultancy in north County Dublin. Previously, Joe was an Elected Member of Fingal County Council and also held the office of Mayor during his tenure. He is married to Bridget and has two daughters.
Joe also has a keen interest in sustainable development, agriculture and rural and urban planning. Joe’s Presidency of the Irish Planning Institute coincided with numerous significant changes to the Irish planning system. He steered the Institute’s responses to major developments such as Project Ireland 2040, new Ministerial Guidelines on Height and Apartment Design, and the launch of the new Office of the Planning Regulator.
